Today we can exclusively reveal that the iPhone 3GS will actually have….. wait for it …. 256k of RAM.
A source close to the manufacturer has let slip that the ‘S’ in 3GS might not actually stand for ’speed’ as some have speculated, but actually for SURPRISE, as the new iPhone actually contains 256k – yes, a whole quarter of a gigabyte of RAM.
The official information from Apple makes no secret of the fact that the iPhone 3GS is going to be a whole lot faster, but there’s no clue as to how this speed increase has been obtained. A leap to 256k would indeed explain the speed increase.
